The Kenyan government through the Ministry of Housing in he recent past kickstarted an ambitious initiative to relocate slum dwellers to better housing. It now appears that those grand plans hardly got off the ground in some of the city's biggest slums, owing to the many vested interests in the informal settlement. NTV's Smriti Vidyarthi visited some of the targeted area and got a taste of the hostility that has marred slum upgrading programme.
