Limestone mining...

It is unclear what that Pokot legend would have said about it, but the town of Ortum is on the verge of a revolution- or so it seems. The town is about to become the home of Kenya’s largest cement factory. The county is rich in limestone and experts believe the deposits could last for at least 50 years. But as Ntv’s John-Allan Namu reports, there may yet be a price to pay for the limestone boom.
